Quote of the Week 11.7.21

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Onl I will remain." - Frank Herbert

No, really - I'm re-reading Dune.

On my first read through a few years ago, I found this to be a particularly powerful passage... now though, I really like Teddy Atlas' take on fear (paraphrased as I understand it...): Fear is a force to be harnessed or overcome by. It is natural and innate in all of us.

Fear is like a fire. You know you're going to get burned sticking yourself in there, and you hope it (the journey/reward?) was worth the burn.

Also, I know nothing. Trust me not at all.
